When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Eastside Animal Hospital understands this and encourages you to apply for the CareCredit program.
CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed for your health and wellness needs for you, your entire family and your pets. This credit card can be used to pay for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by medical insurance. It also provides special financing options that you may not be able to get with other cards.

SCRATCHPAY
Eastside Animal Hospital understands that there may be instances when the cost for treating your pet back to health may become overwhelming. One option available to assist in easing this financial burden is the ScratchPay program. This program allows you to break payments into smaller more manageable amounts and still be assured that your pet gets the best care our doctors and staff can offer.
ScratchPay is a program that offers 3 options:
1. Take 5 - 5 payments | bi-weekly | 0% APR
2. Take a year - 12 payments monthly | monthly | APR varies by patient
3. Take 2 years - 24 payments | monthly | APR varies by patient

INSURANCE OPTIONS
Some families may find that purchasing pet insurance is an ideal option for handling unexpected medical expenses and other costs for their animal companions.
Typically, pet insurance plans are reimbursement-based, where you pay your pets provider the day of your visit and then submit a claim to your insurance company. However, there are a few companies which help to keep your out-of-pocket payments low.

Usually, there's a deductible before coverage starts with pet insurance. For example, you might pay the first $500 in vet bills before the pet insurance reimburses you. Even after your deductible is paid, the pet insurance will most likely not pay 100% of your pets bills. Choosing a higher deductible may help you to lower your pets out of pocket costs.
